The Barb is an active, colourful and popular aquarium fish. They are easy to feed, taking a wide variety of foods including dried food.
Barbs will command your attention! They enjoy swimming all over the tank at breakneck pace. Like many tropical fish, the male is generally more colourful, while the female is less colourful.
Barbs will school when in a group of at least five or six, and are less likely to bother other fish when in a group together. Many species are considered unsuitable in aquaria with slow-moving, long-finned tankmates.

Great colours and patterning Review by Lisa
Customer Rating 6 of these guys (and 5 Checker barbs) arrived this morning to add to a barb tank with 9 fully grown Rosy barbs. Was a little worried about the size difference and the older ones bullying the new inhabitants, but as they are in a large group they aren't being too aggressive. It's only been around 12 hours but they are starting to colour up nicely. (Posted on 12/04/12)

beautiful Review by vaughan
Customer Rating a beautiful looking fish, very boisterous and an excellent addition to my community tank.these fish are fairly peaceful, will not harass smaller fish and are not too aggressive at feeding time.ensure there is plenty of open swimming space for them around the middle and bottom sections of the tank, good plant cover and you will be rewarded with a fish that is full of character and has amazing coloration..definitely recommend these fish (Posted on 19/06/11)

Beautiful but boisterous. Review by Jamie
Customer Rating Fantastic addition to larger size tank of 400litres plus. Highly recommend 6+. Settled almost immediately in to tank. Would not mix with timid species, not because of aggression but they are just always on the go. (Posted on 28/05/11)
