This is a very popular community fish, graceful in appearance, with a peaceful nature and lovely colour pattern. Both sexes look very similar at first, the males developing longer fins and brighter colours at around 6cm+.
Best kept in a planted aquarium with other peaceful species, they can be shy if kept with boisterous types. Pearl Gouramies grow to 10-12cm.

Customer Rating This is the most peaceful gourami that I know of. The pictures in books don't do this fish justice. The males are stunning floating around the aquarium like flying carpets. They are highly interactive communicating with their pectoral tentacle fins. Good quality fish from Live fish! (Posted on 6/02/11)
