Kangaroo Creek Rainbow - Melanotaenia Duboulayi

Large and activeI bought 6 of these fish 2 years ago as a company of my turtle. They are bigger than description and very fast, thus survived very well from turtle's mouth. I didn't realise their true colour until I set up a second 170gal tank with more desired water conditions for them. They are now super happy and super colourful!
They may become dominant if they are the largest in the community, which is quite normal. But they are definitely not that aggressive.Posted on

Beautiful fishOrdered five of these and all arrived in good condition. They settled in nicely and have coloured up really well. They're an active peaceful fish and the start of a tank of fish native to SEQ. I'm a big fan.

Lovely native fish.Ordered 5 of these fish and they all arrived in great condition. They've coloured up nicely after a few hours (looks like I got 4 males), and they will continue to improve. Very happy with these fish.

Worth trying for a peaceful community tankAttractive & active. Unfortunately I only received 2 of the 4 ordered so I don't get the schooling I'd hoped for, & they're quite small. In fact they've hooked up with the similarly-sized striped bards & swim around with them most of the time.
