The gold spot pleco is a fantastic consideration for the master fish keepers who want an alternative to the common or sailfin pleco. These fish have a beautiful colour and reach up to 40 cm. These plecos often get a bad reputation as they are sold at a small size as a 'cleaner' fish to beginners who are unaware of their maximum growing size and poor aquarium cleaning behaviour. Gold spot plecos are just as messy as large South American cichlids

great choicebought this one about 4 months ago, only just got around to moving him out of the small temp/quarintine tank into my 600L 6ft tank. Seems happy and healthy and most of all leaves the other fish alone :)

Gold Spot PlecoThe Pleco arrived on Thursday, with no complications. The Pleco does look very skinny but this might of been because of the stress of travelling. Has settled in fine, and seems very happy.
Thanks livefish!Posted on

Awesome service and a healthy fishI ordered one of these and received it two and a half days later happy and healthy, no dramas at all. Well worth the buy with mine being 7cms and looking very good, and being very active inside the tank straight away.

king of the tankthis is a very beautiful pleco, very easy to keep with the only disadvantage that they can grow up to 21cm. so make sure you have a big enough fish tank.
gold spotted plecos are peaceful and not territorial, but they wont share any food with other catfishes.
i bought this fish 4.5cm long about a year ago and he's now around the 12cm mark. he still has a bit to grow if he wants to end up the king in my 6ft tank.
anyway i love him and a big thank you to livefishPosted on

great fishArived healthy and well, with all its colour like in the picture, a little bit smaller than advertised, but, they are in high demand so understandable. Thanks for the great fish!
