The Silver Dollar is a great looking aquarium fish with characteristic disc-shaped body and glistening silver colouration. Grows to a massive size of approximately 15cm. Both sexes look similar, mature females have red edged anal fins, whereas males have clear slightly ragged looking anal fins.

Customer Rating They are quite stunning in the sunlight. . and love to school. They will join other schooling fish in a larger tank, adding to the overall effect of visual depth.
They are not finicky about water conditions or feeding. They do like some vegetable matter in their diet and they do not like the water temperature to drop below 19 C.
I have noticed they do best at a neutral to slightly alkaline ph. (Posted on 25/10/10) -

bought a pair and they stick together
1 did come abit torn up and was on the brink of death(floating sideways)
since recovered and is a hog when it comes to feeding time.
planning on buying 2 more when my 2 have grown a few center meters
