A hardy and active fish in the aquarium it tolerates capture, handling and transport well. Juvenile fish will adapt particularly well in a short period of time. Generally quiet during the day it will take live food such as other fish, shrimps etc at night. Will also take frozen prawns and pieces of squid. Will eventually become quite tame and responsive, and may reach a large size in a large tank.

The colour of sleepy cod can change according to environmental conditions. Not much research has been done as to what triggers this, but temperature and light are the most probable factors that affect the fishes colour. They are capable of changing colour within a few minutes. Below is an example of their ability to display a range of colours. These fish were all taken from the same pond at the same time.

This package includes 20 fish and has free shipping.

Size 3.5
