This bulk pack of 50 thin val is enough to populate a 4 foot aquarium. A very popular tank idea is to fill the tank with thin val and neon tetras - good value and looks very impressive. Thin Val (Vallisneria) is an easy plant that grows fast, suitable for large aquariums. In most aquariums the leaves grow so long that they float on the surface. So the plant needs pruning to stop it taking too much light from plants growing beneath.
The leaves are tough and strong, so they are not normally eaten by herbivorous fish. Thin Val is easy to propagate using runners, which are prolific if the bottom is nutritious.

Customer Rating The plants arrived healthy and ready for my turtles to eat.
Great value for the amount of plant sent. I put several bunches in both my 4foot tanks with the turtles and stored the rest in my feeder fish tank. With all the shelter provided by the extra plants I have managed to ditch all the breeding cages in the feeder tank and let the fry survive naturally.
This will last me a while and then I'll pick up some more!

Customer Rating Great value, use it in my fish tanks as well as providing it as food for my turtle to nibble at.
Have ordered it a few times and it seems to vary in bunch size and length but have always felt that I've gotten good value.
Survives well in fish tanks, fish don't seem to eat it and it's not too fussy about lighting. Provides good hiding places for fry in my feeder fish breeding tank where I store it until the turtle gets to play with / eat it.
