The Barb is an active, colourful and popular aquarium fish. They are easy to feed, taking a wide variety of foods including dried food.
Barbs will command your attention! They enjoy swimming all over the tank at breakneck pace. Like many tropical fish, the male is generally more colourful, while the female is less colourful.
Barbs will school when in a group of at least five or six, and are less likely to bother other fish when in a group together. Many species are considered unsuitable in aquaria with slow-moving, long-finned tankmates.

Great bulk schooler Review by Michael
Customer Rating Ordered 25 of these little guys and 15 of the larger size. Very happy with the order. They are now schooling happily and enjoying the space of the six-footer. Definitely recommend bulk-buying these guys as I did - Unleash the Swarm! (Posted on 25/08/11)

Great looking little guys, definitely a winner! Review by Breanna
Customer Rating Received 5 of these little guys yesterday (Friday) after they were sent on Wednesday, along with 10 Zebra Danios and all fish were alive and happy when they got to me! They were very pale when they arrived but literally as soon as i put their bags in the tank to become accustom to the temperature they regained their colour! As soon as they were in the tank, they were darting around and playing, their colour is spectacular, and they have great personalities! Will definitely be using livefish again! (Posted on 6/08/11)

These are just the best! Review by Carley
Customer Rating If you are after an attractive, active shoaling fish, you can't go past these guys. All are incredibly healthy and have settled in perfectly with the rest of my community. Get a big group and they leave other fish alone, preferring to chase each other and otherwise play amongst themselves. (Posted on 25/10/10)
