The Kuhli Loach is generally a nocturnal and shy fish, which will like to find a hiding place during the day. However, they will readily come out at feeding time. They are very adept at locating bits of food in an aquarium, and are often included in an aquarium to ensure that there is no buildup of uneaten foods under rocks or wood.
If it is kept in small groups, the Kuhli Loach becomes a little more comfortable and will be seen swimming in and around piles of rocks, under and over pieces of driftwood or around stems of plants.
It is an excellent community fish that can be readily combined with a variety of other peacful aquarium fish species. A bizarre and unusual body shape makes these a sought-after species.

Great little guys Review by Nicholas
Customer Rating Bought 5 and all were quite happy when they arrived, one looks like its an albino. Can't even see them in my tank now, just waiting on some fine (1mm) gravel to add to the tank so they can burrow a bit better, probably will never find them then (Posted on 3/11/11)

Excellent Fish Review by Megan
Customer Rating I ordered 10 (1 doa and 1 died the next day) and now have 8 of them. I also have about 10 of the striped kuhlis as well. The black ones are far more visible than the striped ones and are more active. They come out when I feed the tank and go up and down the length and top to bottom. They eat zucchini, flake, aglae wafers, carnivore pellets. Most of their time is spent hiding in the cave set-up with my 5 very large clown loaches, who don't seem to mind sharing, or care when the kuhlis climb all over them. I also have chain loaches, yo yo (pakastani) loaches, bronze corys and rasboras - all seem happy together. (Posted on 31/05/11)

These guys are the funniest fish you have ever seen. Review by Carley
Customer Rating I LOVE kuhli's! They get themselves into the funniest spots and they are so playful when you get a large shoal of 7 or more. Give them a sand substrate and you will be rewarded with the antics. All fish that I've ordered are beautifully healthy and have settled into their new home perfectly. And the prices are great!
