Xtreme Fish Food

Xtreme Fish Food

Ingredient List: Krill Meal, Shrimp Meal, Fish Meal, Herring Meal, Squid Meal, Octopus, Green Peas, Rice Meal, Wheat Flour, Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles, Spirolina blue-green algae, Stinging Nettles, Brewers Dried Yeast and Paprika.

Probiotics: For Xtreme applications we incorporate a blend of Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus pumilus, and Bacillus subtilis. This blend has strains of bacteria that reduce nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia, improve water clarity, help with feed digestion, and activity against fish pathogens. We typically supply this blend at a concentration of 50 billion (5e10) colony forming units/gram.

Xtreme Aquatic Food Diets formulated using premium ingredients, including Krill, Shrimp, Herring, Squid, Menhadden and Octopus, Fish and Herring combined with Grown-in-the-USA spirulina and our proprietary Bio-pack vitamins and minerals. Nothing is left to chance. Each batch we mill is first tested, then fed on our tropical fish farm in South Florida and then packed for sale under the Xtreme brand. Much of the work we do is by hand, and every step of the process from harvest to delivery is inspected to insure that our quality standards are met.

We feed Xtreme to 1/2 million fish every day!

Although Xtreme has a reputation and brand following among advanced hobbyists and collectors, our Community PeeWee and Crave diets are well suited for the tanks of novice freshwater aquarists. If you're looking for a premium food with no fillers, hormones or dyes, then try our Community PeeWee. You can feed most any fish, enjoy rich natural colors, healthy breeders and a balanced aquarium using Xtreme Community PeeWee as your sole fish diet.

For salt-water hobbists, try Marine PeeWee, Marine Big Fella, Spirulina or Marine Crave and get all the nutrients, proteins, fats and vitamens required to keep your fish and invertebrates healthy.

Bacillus strains as probiotics

The advantage of Bacillus is that they form spores. These spores are very much like the seed of a plant and are stable for long periods of time. Just like seeds, when you add the appropriate nutrients (fish feed in this case) and water, they germinate and grow, producing active vegetative cells that are beneficial in aquatic systems. The spores are also tolerant to temperatures that would kill typical probiotics, such as Lactobacillus.
